Description:

OMGKRK Academy is an event cycle with the mission of “Inspiring Entrepreneurship” among students and young professionals in Krakow. Inspired by the big idea storytelling of TED Talks and the real-world business guidance of Y Combinator Startup School, OMGKRK Academy strives to deliver stimulating presentations that provide real-world knowledge and advice through the power of example.

In OMGKRK Academy #3, we have invited two successful entrepreneurs of the highest caliber to share their career journey, guiding values and business principles that have helped them create over a million dollars in value.

  • Krzysztof Zdanowski dedicates his work to developing and innovating new ways of doing business by following his life values – flexibility and transparency. Krzysztof comes from Warsaw, Poland, grew up in a Polish-Canadian family and graduated with BA in Applied Linguistics at the Tischner European University in Krakow, Poland.

In 2009 he established his first translation brand – Spectraling, that soon became part of the Summa Linguae Group. As CEO of Summa Linguae, he led the company to develop a unique business model based on a mix of organic growth and M&As. In 6 years he took the company public and closed 6 polish and 2 international acquisitions placing his business among the top100 biggest language service providers worldwide. He is fascinated by processes of innovation in cultural and business environments. Summa Linguae's market value is nearly 54 mln PLN.

Krzysztof is a licensed pilot, active golfer and baseball fan.

  • Vincent Vergonjeanne is CEO & Founder of EVERYDAYiPLAY and Lucky Duck Games, both award winning studios in the social gaming industry. Their most recent release, the Vikings Gone Wild strategy game, has over half a million downloads on Google Play.
  • In addition, student and entrepreneur Dimitri Khlopkov will present business development plans for his new startup Spokoloko, an 'Airbnb' type venture that matchmakes event organizers with their ideal venues.
