IS Monitoring Framework Lead

In this role you will be supporting the development of a strategic vision for monitoring of all relevant Configuration Items (CI) in the production environment. Goal of this activity is to ensure that all items are constantly monitored with operational statuses gathered, maximizing availability and usability. You will also be supporting the tactical execution of this monitoring across domains by gathering real-time data across systems for supporting continual improvement of consumer facing IS services. You will be reporting to IS Monitoring and Event Management Manager.

Your responsibilities

• Establishing global standards and policies for event management across all ABB configuration items (i.e.: Networks, Infrastructure, Applications, End User Devices).
• Supporting the strategic planning of global monitoring tools and capabilities, defining the applications to be used for aggregation to achieve a holistic view of ABB configuration items.
• Being responsible for supporting the definition of global monitoring standards for ensuring customer satisfaction, working towards creating an environment that allows for a proactive and predictive service delivery model.
• Being responsible for fostering a continuous improvement culture and identify process improvement opportunities and monitoring of service delivery against defined global standards.
• Ensuring that the selected tools and processes support a global and holistic monitoring capability within ABB, supporting in the definition, execution, and maintenance of the monitoring purpose, vision, and mission in line with the overall Consumer Experience Strategy.
• Being responsible for the development and maintenance of appropriate IS capabilities within assigned monitoring function, ensuring alignment to agreed goals and compliance with ABB policies.
• Executing, for assigned tasks, all actions in IS processes according to agreed RACI specification.
• Acting in compliance with Corporate IS Regulation and IS Policies; with ABB Regulations and ABB Guidelines of which accountability and responsibility for this position are derived and with any other Internal Control regulations that may be assigned.

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. Master’s Degree preferred.
• Above 8 years of relevant experience, 5 years of experience in technical solutions for monitoring.
• Knowledge in data analytics.
• Passionate about Consumer Experience (CX).
• Strong communication and leadership skills .
• Experience with best-in-class monitoring, data analysis, and visualization tools.
• Experience with process mining tools.
• Deep understanding of consumer needs.
• ITIL and Lean Certifications preferred.
