We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test to join our ABB Ability Platform team in Poland, Kraków. Your responsibilities
- Implement core test infrastructure and new tests based off user stories scheduled into sprints
- Perform exploratory testing and research as needed
- Help configure CI/CD pipelines, Azure environments, and provision virtual and physical hardware used during testing
- Track and document testing results while executing tests
- Participate in daily stand-up, sprint planning and the sprint review meetings
- Proactively communicate with distributed development teams to get information for implementing tests or looking into potential bugs
- Report bugs found while implementing and/or executing tests, assist the development teams in narrowing down where reported bugs are occurring and validate reported bugs when they are resolved
Your background
- Previous working experience with Ubuntu and Linux
- Solid background in testing web APIs
- Ability to work with Azure cloud services
- Familiarity with the concepts of containerization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience in creating automated and manual tests as part of a QA team will be an asset as well as using JMeter and scripting languages such as Groovy, Bash, PowerShell and JavaScript
- Familiarity with C# programming language , IoT concepts and 3rd party tools being used (Grafana, InfluxDB, Postman) will be considered as an advantage
