Warsaw Semi-final: Smogathon 2017 Global Edition
Semi-final - pitch contest
Invited startups will pitch their innovations in Campus Warsaw - A Google Space - in front of at least six experts of technical, scientific, business and VC background.
The maximum length of pitch is 5 minutes and we are going to be strict about it.
Top two startups will pass to the finals in Krakow, Poland.
Who can attend?
Teams, startups, and companies who want to fight smog through technology, science or any other kind of innovation. You need to operate under any kind of internationally recognized legal entity. 10-12 teams/startups/companies will be selected.
Applications are open from 15th of June till 15th of August (included).

Smogathon is an initiative aiming to fight the air pollution through technology. Our idea is to get start-ups from all over the world to compete for $25,000 in cash and $75,000 as a contract to implement their idea in Kraków, in order to find the best solutions to solve the problem of smog.
Semifinals will be hosted in Berkeley, London, Warsaw, Bangalore, and Hong Kong. Two projects will be selected from each semi-final to attend the Final in Krakow (all travel and accommodation costs will be covered for up to 2 people from team).
What Smogathon 2017 Global Edition is looking for?
The most desirable projects are in the following areas:
- indoor air purifying
- outdoor air purifying
- household heat & power generation and storage
- smog as a resource
- new ways of smog mapping and predicting
- air pollution prevention
