After a bit of documentation and security, this time our speakers will take us to the land of beautiful graphs and data presentations.

Our speakers: Ivan Vaskevych (Amazon) and Adam Dubiel (Allegro)

Ivan's presentation (in english):

Title: InfluxDB and Grafana fighting together with IoT data attack.

Abstract:

They promise that IoT (Internet of Things) will conquer the world. But what will tackle billions of bytes that flow into our servers every hour? First released in 2013, InfluxDB is used by eBay, Cisco, IBM and other big companies. It’s a production proven time-series storage. During this talk we're going to get acquainted with it and see how InfluxDB can help to solve your problems. We’ll see how to quickly install it on Amazon Web Services platform and how it scales. And for the dessert, we’re going to draw pretty Grafana graphs using InfluxDB data.

Ivan's bio:

With 15 years experience in IT, Ivan tasted different aspects of our industry, including project management, system and DB administration, and software engineering. Ivan learned RDBMS out there in the field. Lately he has been delivering solutions at Amazon.

Title:Dane są piękne, czyli D3JS dla programisty Java

Abstract:

Podobno jeden obraz wart jest tysiąca słów. Tylko skąd wziąć taki obraz? Lubimy liczby i dane, ale kiedy przychodzi nam o nich mówić, to głównie.. no właśnie, mówimy, zamiast zaprezentować dane tak, żeby już żadne słowa nie były potrzebne. A gdyby tak jeszcze to nie były tylko jednorazowe piękne rysunku, gdyby dało się to jak każdy porządny projekt wrzucić do repo i aktualizować..

Poznaj D3JS, czyli Data Driven Documents. Biblioteka do wizualizacji danych, w której za pomocą kilku linijek kodu w JS i CSS da się pokazać dowolne dane w piękny sposób. W czasie prezentacji pokażę podstawowe koncepcje, które pozwolą Ci zrozumieć działanie D3JS i zacząć tworzyć własne obrazy z danych.

Adam's bio:

Developer, team manager, product owner, od pewnego czasu też architekt. Mimo, że spis stanowisk wygląda bardziej jak ścieżka kariery, stara się znaleźć czas na każdą z tych ról (chociaż developer już raczej weekendowy). Największą satysfakcję daje mu udane wdrożenie aplikacji, która po prostu działa i zadowolenie klientów.
