Description:

Do you work in IT? Or maybe you want to start off your career as a professional software developer? Are you interested in the Digital Health solutions and want to meet with peers?

If so, join us on the Code4Life Tech Meetup!

We bring together Experts working on improving healthcare to deliver excellent talks and share their knowledge.

You’ll also get the chance to see how we deploy technologies at one of the Pharma industry’s biggest players.

On Monday 10 of June, we’re meeting up in Warsaw to discuss Digital Health and IoT! We’ve brought together three experienced professionals in the area, who will deliver their insights on transparency, clarity, and best practices, gained through years of passion-driven work in the battlefield.

What’s more, you will be able to experience the newest technologies yourself, as we prepared hands-on experience where you can touch, see and test all the great solutions we develop in our day to day work.

Join us on the Meetup!

Krzysztof Grzywacz: Future of clinical studies with smart devices and medical sensors

Clinical studies are one of the most important parts of the new drug discovery and verification process. An introduction of mobile phones and smart accessories changes the way the studies are conducted, to patient centric with focus on home-based monitoring. Low cost health monitoring sensors with medical accuracy allow to capture more data and provide more information about patient health and clinical outcomes. Please join our session to learn about digital health mobile apps, smart drug delivery devices and medical sensors like spirometers or sleep monitors. You would have a hands-on experience with those solutions and have the opportunity to understand how to connect everything together to have a consistent user experience.

Krzysztof works at Roche for more than 12 years. He is a Lead IT Expert focusing on digital health solutions, specializing in the design and implementation of mobile & cloud based systems including connected smart devices in the context of clinical studies and patient facing companion services.

Joanna Skotarczyk: “Alexa, are you ready for Digital Health?” - Can we use Conversational Interfaces in Digital Health area?

When we think of the evolution of personal computers, from the start on, we can see that the changes have been made not only in functionality, but also in how we signal our input. After a decade of typing on keyboard, pointing using mouse and swiping things with our hands, now we are more and more comfortable with conversational interfaces, which are bringing a new level of sophistication and convenience to our interactions with computers. But are we ready to use it in Digital Health Area? This is one of the questions we are trying to solve in Roche Global Solution Centre.

Asia works as a Software Developer in Roche for 5 years. She is fascinated in novel human interfaces with emphasis on chatbots, voicebots and mobile applications.

Bartłomiej Woronin: Where the Internet of Things can be used in the pharma company?

The topic will cover different examples of the usage of IoT in pharma company regarding different business cases: manufacturing, office space and other.

During this presentation, I would like to show you a real demo of IoT projects and deep dive into the system design, talk about used sensors, protocols, and algorithms.

Bartek works in Roche for the last 6 years, the last 3 years in IoT area. He is interested in mobile development and many other technology areas like: system architecture, clouds, AI.
