Manages software development activities which may include one or more of the following:
a) software systems development - oversees the design, development, troubleshooting and debugging of software for operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, etc.
b) software applications development - oversees the analysis, design, programming, debugging and modification of computer programs for commercial or end user applications such as materials management, financial management, HRIS, or personal applications products (e.g., spreadsheets, tax packages, personal finance programs).
c) quality assurance - develops quality standards for company products, oversees the development and execution of software test plans and analysis of test results. Provides guidance to subordinates to achieve goals in accordance with established policies. Work is reviewed and measured based on meeting objectives and schedules. Interactions normally involve matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units or customers and the company. Manage team of developers includes setting goals and developing team members. Write, review and revise product/service requirements and specifications. Define solutions and tasks required for delivery. Deliver solutions to client and provide necessary technical support.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 8 years related experience;
- Minimum 5 years prior management/supervisory experience preferred.
- Advanced computer software skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to lead and direct multiple projects simultaneously;
- Ability to delegate work to subordinate employees;
- Proven leadership ability.
