Developer Platform (DP) provides a technical platform for Sabre product teams. The technical platform gives product teams freedom to deploy enhancements multiple times a day. Teams are able to deliver new features from concept to production in days. It’s possible because the Platform as a Service that we offer solves common issues like autoscaling, log aggregation, metrics collection and analysis, transaction tracing, messaging. We utilize Docker, Kubernetes (GKE), EFK, Istio, Google Cloud.
Main responsibilities:
• Participate in the open source products evaluation, analysis, configuration, development according the Sabre requirements
• Code, test and review code of complex software solutions or enhancements to existing software in a maintenance capacity and develop software technical documentation
• Utilize Agile, TDD, CI/CD techniques to deliver high-quality, multi-threaded solutions, with a keen eye for scalability and reliability
• Act as technical consultant and advocate for the DP
• Run what you build
Job Requirements
DESIRED SKILLS:
• Experience with containerization-based technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
• Experience with designing Cloud, SaaS, Microservices, and 12 factor apps
• Experience with highly scalable distributed systems
• Good understanding of code quality, test automation and continuous integration
• Experience in Agile Development and DevOps/SRE culture
• Positive attitude, attention to detail, a team player, good problem-solving skills, and strong work ethic
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
• Expertise in Java, Spring, JEE, Spring Boot or equivalent
• Experience with Ansible or Terraform
• Experience with Go or Python
• Experience with exposing and consuming REST, gRPC services
• Knowledge of ActiveMQ or other messaging products
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as Couchbase, Casandra
