- Leads a team responsible for assessing performance risk, identifies critical use cases and select key performance scenarios.
- Establish performance objectives.
- Works closely with business and product areas to translate business and development plans into enterprise-wide transaction sequencing models.
- Responsible for determining software/hardware resource requirements across Sabre critical open systems.
- Utilizes statistical performance analysis and modeling techniques to validate transaction forecasts.
- Works closely with end-to-end capacity planner to integrate performance measurement data into capacity plans.
- Uses tools to measure, quantify and analyze the performance benchmark and validate with end-to-end transaction sequences/rates.
- Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
- Responsible for analyzing software products through the use of systematic effective performance tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for company products.
- Establish performance objectives and workload intensities for quantitative performance criteria/scenario.
- Manipulates measurement data into concise, clear reports for all levels with-in Sabre.
- Asks probing questions to obtain critical information for decision-making.
- Identifies problems and associated performance measurement risks.
- Technical consulting on automation issues, tools and processes.
- Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Aligns decision making and problem solving with longer term strategy.
- Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.
- May take part in researching best practices, new tools and technology.
- Serves as a mentor to less experienced team members.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years related experience,
- Minimum 3 years experience with open system (Linux/Unix) performance measurement analysis and performance measurement tools,
- Practiced in applying statistical analysis techniques to accurately estimate and evaluate application workloads,
- Expert in applying rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions,
- Proficient in sequence modeling using UML standards,
- Prior strong development experience (Java/C++) preferred,
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
- Ability to lead and direct multiple projects simultaneously,
- Ability to work under limited supervision.
