To strengthen our Polish Operation Center team, we are looking for a Proposal Manager.
The proposal manager is overseeing a remote team composed of all competencies needed to estimate cost, define the technical solution, the scope of delivery and the contractual terms and conditions. This work is undertaken in close cooperation with the responsible Sales manager. To support the team all the necessary functions are provided by Network Control as needed, such as legal and financial expertise. The work involves a lot of contacts with partners, other ABB units and the local Enterprise Software office. One of the major challenges is to put together the more complex proposals involving several parties and advanced business setups.
Your responsibilities
- Coordination between proposal team members; sales, presales, HW engineer, SW Engineer, Project Manager etc.
- Work with Sales to suggest and decide on business setup for the proposed delivery
- Review contractual terms & conditions with representatives from legal and finance
- Compilation of tender documentation
- Development of Health & Safety Plan
- Running the tender approval process according to existing guidelines, including presentation of the proposal, together with responsible sales manager, to senior management
- Coordinating proposal risk review information
- Risk analysis, supported by expert functions within the proposal team
- Making recommendations for improvements to the relevant processes and actively participate in implementation of the same
Your background
- Professional working experience from similar roles such as sales, key account management, project management or other roles where the management of complex contracts with business setup, legal and commercial terms has been part of the work
- Documented experience from offering complex systems including software, hardware and services in multiple countries and on multiple continents
- At least 3 years of experience from relevant employment
- Fluent English
- Master of Science degree, or similar
- Domain knowledge in SCADA/EMS/DMS/GMS would be an advantage
- Legal or finance training would be an advantage
- Knowledge of Cyber security topics is a plus
