To strengthen our ABB Ability™ Manufacturing Operations Management team, we are looking for a UX designer who has front-end development background. You will be a member of the Agile team in Łódź, developing ABB Ability™ Manufacturing Operations Management Product. You will be working in cross-functional team which operates in an international environment. Being part of this team means also being a part of the huge stream which operates using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Thereby the work delivered by you and other teams will be combined and delivered as an one ABB outcome. In this role you will be reporting to Software Engineering Manager. Your responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and releasing cross technology software solutions. Contributing throughout the product development lifecycle, as this team is fully responsible for product development and delivery
- Actively following/applying current trends in software development best practices, technologies, and ABB standards to build high quality products
- Prototype solutions shaping user experience of our products including design of the applications and execution of the user research
- Working in a cross discipline team, using agile development methodology that requires active participation in all team’s activities
- Contributing to the team culture of quality and high performance in daily team R&D activities. Mentoring junior level team members and peer review other team members’ work to ensure high product quality levels
- Working in an international team and communicate in English on daily basis
Your background
- Extensive experience in JavaScript, HTML and CSS including web frameworks (preferably React)
- Experience in usage of prototyping tools (preferably Figma)
- Good analytical skills with attention to details
- Ability to manage multiple demands on time, working with cross-functional, virtual, and international teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- High interpersonal skills
