What you’ll do

Serve as technical and lead architect on one or more Cytiva Digital products – a family of solutions that improve efficiency and quality for our customers by streamlining data management and improving equipment reliability.

Work with product owners and managers on technical strategy and developing the product architectural roadmap.

Take a leading role in feature and user story grooming and work breakdown, setting the technical direction and providing guidance to the development team.

Lead technology investigation efforts, develop trade-off analyses and determine the best technical approach. Negotiate scope with stakeholders based on team capacity, complexity and other factors.

Effectively communicate design decisions and specifications.

Understand and incorporate performance, security and scalability requirements.

Drive secure development practices, identify and mitigate security risks.

Deliver high-quality software by incorporating software best practices such automated testing and TDD/BDD methodologies into the development process.

Help to drive a culture of high-performance Agile development and continuous improvement.
Who you are
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a closely related major with a minimum of 5 years professional experience.

At least three years’ experience architecting, building and launching web-based enterprise software systems.

Expertise in front end and back end technology (e.g. JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, CSS, .NET, Java, Node.js, PHP, Python, Ruby). Experience with Javascript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue).

In depth knowledge of cloud native software development with at least one cloud architecture certification (AWS preferred)

Track record of implementing software development best practices such as Agile, CI/CD, automated testing and continuous improvement.

Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.

Experience with microservices, serverless technologies and containerization.

Knowledge of cybersecurity threats and secure development practices is required. Candidates with a demonstrated track record of designing secure software systems based on industry best practices preferred.

Excellent communicator and presenter with proficiency in English and strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to build strong, collaborative working relationships with technical and non-technical teams, and to mentor more junior team members.

Must be self-directed, motivated and able to provide technical direction to developers.

Preferred location is Krakow, Poland, but remote candidates will be considered.
