Our client creates a modern solution for
the management of travel, company cards and expenses, which combines advanced
technology with high-class service. This single-platform solution seamlessly
manages travel reservations, travel plan management, corporate cards and
expenses using the latest AI-powered technologies, backed by unparalleled
global inventory. Experienced local travel agencies support each client with a
mix of experience and technology and provide first-class proactive,
personalized service.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a diligent, active and enthusiastic Lead Engineer to join our team and work with our team of talented engineers to design and build the future of payments and expense management.
You will be working on a next-generation spend management solution that is
disrupting the market by offering virtual and physical corporate cards that
eliminate the need for traditional expense reports.
This role combines 50% hands-on Java Development combined with 50% of Team
management
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead team of 6-8 people
- Design, build and evolve the
core backend platform for our Client in a scalable and reliable way
- Technically own problem
domain: facilitate design, development and launch of key microservices in
the domain
- Work with the leadership to
identify, plan and execute long term vision
- Work cross-functionally with
various engineering and product teams to deliver features that span across
domains
- Be the Subject Matter Expert
of the domain under ownership
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong Team Leadership
experience
- Strong programming skills
with Java and CS fundamentals combined with 6+ years of experience
building products
- Experience with Spring
Framework (3+ years)
- Deep architecture and API
design skills to build core services and new product features
- Good understanding of
microservices and event driven architectures
- Passion for solving problems
and learning new tools and technologies
- Strong sense of ownership
demonstrated through shipping production-quality code equipped with
testing, monitoring and documentation
- Excellent communication
skills working with stakeholders and domain experts across the company to
design solutions to user problems
- Ability to thrive in a
fast-paced environment
- Experience with distributed
systems, AWS is a plus
- Ability to work from the
office in Gdansk at least 2-3 times per week
