Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of at least one Java8 or/and Python or/and Scala
- Good understanding of functional programming, streaming and pipelining
- Very good knowledge of SQL
- Good knowledge of Star Schema database model, ETL processing and Data Warehouses
- Good knowledge of Hadoop 2.0 EcoSystem (HDFS, Yarn, Spark, Oozie, Hive, Ambari, Zookeeper, MapReduce, Kafka)
- Experience working with Maven, Git, Jenkins
- Good knowledge of English
Preferences
- Experience with Hortonworks HDP will be nice to have
- Knowledge of ETL Tools like Ab-Initio, DataStage, Informatica, Streamsets - nice to have
Responsibilities
- Work on tasks assigned by Technical Architects areas of reporting and data analytics for example Development of data analytical platform
- Designing of Storage and Processing layers
- Development of data processing pipelines, optimizing ETL jobs, building a proper data model for the Data Warehouse
- Checking the performance of the solutions
- Recommend, design and code efficient and effective solutions for challenging problems for large work efforts of medium complexity
- Collaborate with architects, developers and product team and present alternative approaches to complex problems
- Document techniques/approaches, process flow diagrams and data models as required
