Java Software Engineer

Responsibilities
- Develops, tests and debugs new and existing, moderately complex, software solutions
- May mentor and coach junior team members to ensure the success of the team
- Actively contributes to all phases of software development life cycle
- Cooperates with Customers, Product Owners and Architects to understand business requirements, and to respond to their suggestions for improvements and enhancements
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2/3 years related experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Master’s Degree in Computer science or Engineering preferred
- Proficiency in Java 8 programming language and strong problem-solving skills
- Experience in using TDD practices and concepts like DRY and Clean Code
- Experience in working with Relational Databases, preferably Oracle
- Experience with tools like Git, IntelliJ, Maven, Jenkins
- Demonstrated user level knowledge and experience with Linux operating systems
- Strong communication skills in English, written and verbal
- Experience with the AWS platform, Docker, and Container Platforms such as Openshift or Kubernetes
- Experience in the use of testing libraries such as TestNG, Mockito, Fitnesse
- Experience in XML/Web Services technologies (SOAP, REST)
