If you are a data scientist or developer and would like to extend your knowledge of machine learning, natural language processing, and tools used to develop bots, this course will be a good fit for you.
During the workshop, we will introduce different types of bots, and practice building bots for specific use cases. First, we use NLTK and Spacy to implement an HR assistant bot and explain how to use NLP and NLU to understand the text that this chatbot receives. Next, we combine the result with a few sentiment analysis models. The second bot we’ll build is based on Alexa and demonstrates how to use bots for speech recognition. We combine Greg, our stock market assistant, with Facebook messenger and use generative models to interact with users in an intelligent way. In this example, we’ll show a comparison of retrieval and generative models. The third bot is based on Twitter and Cortana -- we’ll develop a proper bot that can analyze Tweets. Finally, we go through currently available solutions on the market to give a big picture of the possibilities and where to go next.

Karol Przystalski is CTO and founder of Codete. He obtained a Ph.D in Computer Science from the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research, Polish Academy of Sciences, and was a research assistant at Jagiellonian University in Cracow. His role at Codete is focused on leading and mentoring teams. The company has built a research lab that is working on machine learning methods and big data solutions in specialty areas such as pattern recognition and HDP implementation.

- develop their own bot,
- build machine learning models using common solutions in Python,
