We are happy to invite you to 41st meetup of our group. We will host the Big Data Experts from GetIndata (getindata.com). The meeting will be held online via zoom on April 27th, at 18:00.
TITLE: Big Data on Google Cloud Platform Q&A - ask experts.
ABSTRACT:
The meeting will take the form of a Q&A session. You can ask any question by adding it to our signing-up form. We also prepare a few themes to talks about so during the event you will learn about:
- which GCP tools increase productivity and make it easier to work with Big Data in your projects?
- is it safe to put your sensitive data in the cloud?
- is storing data in BigQuery vendor lock-in?
- how cost-effective is BigQuery in comparison to other databases?
- what are the simplest ways to migrate my data into GCP?
EXPERTS BIO:
1) Mateusz Pytel throughout his career Mateusz worked with multiple open-source Big Data technologies in areas like marketing, banking, and e-commerce. With time his focus switched from on-premise solutions to cloud adoption, working mostly with Google Cloud. Nowadays Mateusz’s role in GetInData is aiding businesses with the design and implementation of cloud-based, data-oriented solutions.
2) Tomasz Żukowski gained experience during his work in logistics, medical services, and IT (consumer apps). As a data analyst, Tomasz was building reports by means of Microsoft Excel and VBA. Tomasz has been working with SQL and Python. Currently, he is taking care of analyzing Big Data by using the Hadoop ecosystem, Python, and R. As a hobby, he enjoys taking part in Kaggle competitions.
3) Arkadiusz Gąsior is a Data Engineer with over 15yrs professional experience working on IT projects in the telematics, mobile, finance, and advertising industries. He enjoys data engineering and working with real-time systems as well as traveling and outdoor activities. Used various data tools and frameworks Google Cloud Platform, Hadoop, Kafka, Elasticsearch, and more. His recent achievements include working on GCP training, automation, designing a petabyte-scale cloud-based data warehouse, and working on tools for data ingestion, transformation, and analytics.
4) Piotr Pilis has been working in Big Data for over three years, mainly in the Google Cloud Platform environment. At GetIndata, he implements Data Lake and implements analytical use-cases based on the Google Cloud
