In times of social media and scandals related to the use of data contained in them (such as recent events around Cambridge Analytica), concepts such as Data Science, Big Data and Knowledge Discovery in Databases arouse vivid emotions, and people dealing with them professionally are perceived by many as adepts of secret knowledge servicing marketing executives and politicians. The aim of the presentation is to make you familiar with basic concepts and algorithms used in the analysis of high volume and volatility data. Author wants to show that Data Science has roots much older than popular social networks today, and its use on the "bright side of power" can bring big benefits not only for the business but also for an ordinary participant of the digital world.
Who is Andrzej?
He has been working in IT application business since 1995. Worked 15+ years for top application vendors and few years for big System Integrator gathering various experience in Business Analysis. Specialises in analyzing business processes of customer and transforming value of technology and applications into language of business users (ROI, TCO, process gap analysis etc.) as well as in managing customer expectations and requirements.
Have both business (Executive MBA) and IT education (MSc at Technical University Wroclaw), as well as Presales, Sales and Consulting experience. Experienced in working with C-level managers on customer side, finding their critical objectives and challenges and determining how modern technology can help address them. Have son and wife as well as dog passionate for mantrailing.
