The OpenTofu initiative - past, present, and future goals

I am the VP of Engineering at Spacelift, a Cloud Native practitioner, system engineer with many years of experience, and an Infrastructure-as-a-Code proponent. Our company was one of the first supporters to the OpenTofu initiative and continue to contribute to the creation of the fork under the Linux Foundation.
Before Spacelift, I worked and led engineering projects at Codility (a SaaS for unbiased remote tech hiring), Hypatos/SMACC (Fintech/ML automation XaaS tools), and LykeHQ (fashion e-commerce). Mostly I run on AWS, a bit on GCP and Azure. In my free time, I help to organize the Golang Warsaw Meetup.
Leveraging AWS Control Tower to ensure compliance at scale.
In this session you will learn how to use controls (also known as guardrails) to set up governance in your AWS multi-account environment. We will discuss the key considerations and actions to configure the controls and then during the demo perform these in a real AWS Organization. We will also look into how controls work under the hood and from that identify the steps to customize your AWS Control Tower landing zone according to your company’s requirements.

Summer is officially over which means that AWS User Group Wrocław is officially back! Terraform/OpenTofu "dispute" took the headlines by the storm and so we tackle that topic first. Additionally, AWS Control Tower, an useful tool will be introduced. Pizza and refreshments are included!
