Artificial intelligence is used on many levels, by the way, you know it well. Industrial robots also have a piece of superpower, which is based on AI. During the presentation, I would like to show you how artificial intelligence is helping to change the approach to maintenance robots from a time-based to a wear-and-tear, and what we can gain from it.

About the speaker:

Product leader of industrial robots at Mitsubishi Eletric. I gained practical knowledge on factories, repairing robots for almost 5 years. Privately a lover of mountains and family gardens. I finished my master's degree in automation at AGH-UST.

[ENG] The Importance of Lifecycle Management for ROS2- Filipe Cerveira Pinto:

The ROS 2 Node Lifecycle is a fundamental component in the development of resilient robotic systems. By understanding and leveraging this framework, we can create robots that adapt to changing conditions, handle errors gracefully, and contribute to the advancement of robotics in various fields. ROS 2's Node Lifecycle concept provides us with a standardized framework to manage the creation, destruction, and transitions between different states of nodes. During this presentation, we will go through basic theory as well as a couple of examples from my previous projects.

About the speaker:

Filipe is a Robotics Engineer, holding a Master’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering with four years of professional experience developing software for a variety of robots. His expertise includes programming languages such as C++ and Python, and he has a deep understanding of the Robot Operating System. When he is not working on robotics projects, Filipe enjoys traveling and exploring new places, as well as cycling in the mountains.
