  • [ENG] Developing Test Bench for a Space Rover: Case Study - Tomasz Chłeminiak - Scout is a specialized type of planetary rover designed for navigating particularly challenging terrains. The project is led by the German Aerospace Center (DLR) Institute of System Dynamics and Control (SR). This presentation introduces the rover itself and provides insights into the test bench design, encompassing mechanical design, electronics, and software aspects.
  • About the speaker: Tomasz have recently completed a Master's degree in Mechatronic Engineering from AGH. His profound passion for all things space-related drives active involvement in diverse space projects, including experiences at DLR and CBK PAN. Beyond professional endeavours, he is also a dedicated advocate for cutting-edge technologies such as robotics, AI, and electric cars. Currently employed as a Software Engineer at BorgWarner, he continues to contribute to technological innovation in his field.
  • [ENG] Where are we heading? – Path planning methods for every occasion - Bartłomiej Bonar - Path planning is a vast field with an endless amount of methods and modifications. Such repertoire may become troubling when standing before the choice of algorithm for a specific project, but understanding how things work and making sensible choices may make things much simpler in the long run. During the presentation, a number of popular algorithms for path planning and motion control will be described, alongside some real-life examples, case studies, more or less complex problems and personal thoughts.
  • About the speaker: Graduate of Automatic Control and Robotics at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics of the AGH UST, currently Ph.D. student at the Department of Robotics and Mechatronics. Scientifically working on autonomous robots' navigation algorithms focusing on fusing path planning methods, professionally developing and programming control systems for robots.
