- Description: At our organization, choosing the right GitHub Actions runner for AWS was a crucial decision that required evaluating multiple solutions. I'll take you through selecting AWS CodeBuild as our GitHub Actions runner. We explored EKS-based runners, ECS (Fargate/EC2), and AWS CodeBuild, comparing them based on performance, cost, security, and maintainability. Following an Architecture Decision Log (ADL) approach, we systematically assessed each solution, leading us to our final choice.
