Join our AWS Workshop on March 21!
We are excited to announce that on Friday, March 21, we are hosting an AWS Workshop: Decoupled Microservices, open to everyone!
- March 21, 2025
- Free of charge

AWS Step Functions is a serverless workflow service that simplifies managing long-running processes and coordinating distributed applications.
This workshop explores how Step Functions can implement the Saga design pattern to maintain data consistency across microservices without using Distributed Transaction Coordinators (DTC) or two-phase commits.
You'll gain hands-on experience in orchestrating local transactions within a cloud-based architecture.
In this lab, you will learn how to:
- Create a Step Functions State Machine
- Use the Step Functions Workflow Studio
- Handle exceptions and manage retries
- Control execution flows for success and failure
The workshop will be led by Galym Bakashev, Senior Systems Engineer at EPAM Systems, who will guide you through practical exercises on building resilient microservices.
IMPORTANT: Please complete the registration form by 21:00 UTC+1 on March 20.
