This eventwill provide an update on the Design and Construction processes to deliver DoD facilities and the associated Facility-Related Control Systems (FRCS). Please come prepared to ask questions!

The DoD released the first Unified Facility Criteria used in the Design Phase for FRCS in 2016, followed by a minor update in 2018, and a new major update in Oct 2023. The associated Unified Facilities Guide Specifications 25 05 11, 25 08 10 and 25 10 10 used in the Construction Phase have also undergone updates. These processes are still in their infancy and projects are now being delivered or soon to be delivered with many Lessons Learned. The Cybersecurity Team has become an integral part of delivery of a facility that is designed, constructed and operated in a cyber secure manner.

The webinar will explain

- what skill sets and certifications are needed, what the Submittal Register tracking process is

- how to complete the various submittal documents such as the Inventory and Cyber Riser Diagrams

- how to perform the Factory and Site Acceptance Testing and complete a Configuration Baseline Audit Report

- how to train Operators on the use of the DoD Advanced Cyber Industrial Controls Tactics, Techniques and Procedures for basic Hunt and Defend.

Additionally the webinar will cover the newly released DoD Cybersecurity Compliance Maturity Model V2 which requires all contractors to perform a self-assessment of their business systems used in the design and delivery of the projects using NIST SP 800-171 and registering in the DoD Supplier Performance Reporting System to be able to be awarded a Prime or Subcontract for A&E and Construction services.

Michael Chipley PhD GICSP President
