Description:

  • What’s new in TypeScript 2.1/2.2?
  • How to monetize apps with in app purchases

  • What’s new in TypeScript 2.1/2.2?
Over the last year, TypeScript has seen a huge increase in popularity among open source developers. The ecosystem is maturing and TypeScript 2.0 brought necessary features for many JavaScript developers to make the switch. We’ve especially seen stabilization around declaration files and debates around “Should I use TSD, Typings, or NPM?” are finally resolved. We can look at new features in TypeScript 2.1 and 2.2 to see what’s useful for developers to start using today. From async functions to easier imports to mapped types, there’s plenty to be excited about!

  • How to monetize apps with in app purchases
In this talk we'll cover all the steps for monetizing existing Android applications. After a discussion about strategies and the different types of in app purchases, we'll look at sample code for subscriptions and one-time purchases. After this live coding demo we'll talk about:
Open source and commercial tools that help increase purchase rates
Edge cases to consider when monetizing apps
How to test purchases
How the app store adjusts prices on a global market

Dan Silver is a Software Engineer at Microsoft headquarters in Redmond, Washington. Since joining the company, he’s worked on System Center Configuration Manager and the Microsoft Graph. He’s currently working on the Microsoft Graph JavaScript and TypeScript libraries. Dan’s also an Android app developer and has published successful apps in the store. When not working on engineering projects, Dan can be found at hackathons and helping developers on their projects.

Gorąco zapraszamy w imieniu DevLdz i Microsoft Polska!
