Description:

Join us for the first Dive into Data meetup of 2025 to explore how Databricks powers data platforms and MLOps workflows with advanced processing and automation.

Talk#1 "Databricks–Build Your Ultimate Data Platform" by Łukasz Bielak, Lead DW/BI Software Engineer at SoftServe

During the session, Łukasz will showcase a sample data platform implementation using Databricks and the Medallion architecture. He will demonstrate how to dynamically load raw data into the Bronze layer and use the Delta Live Tables framework to load the Silver and Gold layers (data cleansing and transformation). Additionally, the session will cover the capabilities of Unity Catalog.

Talk#2 "Databricks for MLOps workloads" by Gleb Smolnik, ML Engineer at SoftServe

Databricks positions itself as an end-to-end platform for Data Intelligence, including Big Data, ML, and Business Intelligence. Gleb will focus on exploring the MLOps stack available on Databricks, particularly: model lifecycle management; ML tracking, dependencies and environment management, ML pipelines, and more.
