Elixir and Protocols

Is Elixir a good choice for implementing protocols from the Internet protocol suite? Does this have anything to do with Elixir Protocols?

At this meetup we will address these questions showing what happens if you tie together these two perspectives on protocols. As a background story, you will be introduced to Jerboa, a STUN/TURN decoder in Elixir.

About the speaker:

Szymon Mentel works as a System Engineer at Erlang Solutions. He graduated from AGH-UST receiving Master of Science degree. For the past four years, he has worked on projects related to Software Defined Networking and XMPP. He is involved with system design and development and also teaches Erlang and Elixir.
