Krzysztof Dryś: Live coding with generics

Generics are coming to town in Go 1.18. I will take a library, which uses interface{} a lot and show, how it can be reworked using the generics.

Wojciech Barczyński: What a developer should know when building Golang Services for Kubernetes?

Things, I would like that every developer who builds services on Kubernetes, know. We will start with building your docker image, talk about parametrisation, observability, and finish with a discussion on how to close your app properly. All in a consistent form with examples.

7:30 Networking

Speakers

Krzysztof - I am a software developer, with a passion for creating systems which work. I like clean code, designing complex applications and working with people.

Wojciech - I am a VP of Engineering at Spacelift, a Golang developer, and a CloudNative practitioner. Spacelift offers collaborative management and a flexible orchestration platform for Infrastructure-as-a-Code. All our backend components are written in Golang, we use many CloudNative projects. We especially love Open Policy Agent (a good topic for the next talk). Before, I worked and led engineering projects at Codility (a platform for remote tech hiring in an unbiased way), Hypatos/SMACC (Fintech/ML automation tools and SaaS), and LykeHQ (fashion e-commerce). I am also an organizer of Golang Warsaw Meetup.

Go Developers Network

We are a part of GDN, which is a collection of Go user groups working together with a shared mission to empower developer communities with the knowledge, experience, and wisdom to build the next generation of software in Go.
