GPT-4chan - Language Models in the Internet’s Darker Corners
Abstract:
A few months ago, the GPT-4chan model gathered significant interest from researchers, students, practitioners, and even from some press outlets. In this talk, I’ll go over the conception, implementation, and deployment of the GPT-4chan project, as well as over the sizeable fallout it caused. With the benefit of hindsight, we’ll explore the technical, academic, and social aspects of what happens when powerful technology meets human nature.
