I didn’t know that Elasticsearch could do that

Asking people what Elasticsearch is capable of is one of those questions whose answers are surprising. Some may say that it is a distributed data store specialized in full-text search and time-series data, while others will say that it is a "thing" they need to install to have Kibana up-and-running.

The reality is that it is hard to define what it does. A common cause of this problem is that most people tend to use Elasticsearch as a means to an end — completely ignoring some of its key capabilities. After all, you can't fully understand Elasticsearch if you, for example, use it merely as an engine to aggregate your system's logs.

This talk will discuss some of the features that people disregard in their daily routines with Elasticsearch. It will also walk through some fresh features that many people haven't had the chance to look into them yet. Not that this is a bad problem to have, though.
