OOP vs FP? The pursuit of extensibility
Abstract:
Polymorphism is the greatest ally of us in struggle towards better extensibility and secret weapon against if-statements. But when it comes to extensibility we need to choose between making our code open for new classes (forms) by using OOP style, or new operations where FP stands very well. In this talk I’ll show you an example which introduces all problems of above and present solution (which in my opinion solves that problem) with detailed instruction how can you build it on your own in Scala.
