Agenda:

Renodepedia: cataloging all of world's hardware using software; Mateusz Holenko, Antmicro

With thousands of devkits and chips you could use to build your device, it's hard to navigate the waters of IoT to pick the right platform. Enter Renodepedia, which uses our open source modular hardware simulator and structured hardware description data to (automatically) generate a database of contemporary hardware that you can also experience immediately in simulation. In the talk we'll discuss how open-source technologies like Renode and Zephyr, with a touch of software engineering, can be innovatively used to automatically create massive suites of tests and discover dependencies between hardware components.

The best distro to start your Linux adventure with; Linux Academic Group (LAG) from the Poznan University of Technology

If you’re new to the Linux world, or looking to set up a new system, picking the right distro might seem like a daunting task. It doesn’t have to be, though! We’ll start off by defining what comprises a distribution and what matters when picking one and then move on to showing you different workflows and best practices. Our aim will be to show that most of the distributions share the same underlying principles and it’s only the little things that make them different from each other. Whichever distro you end up choosing, you're in full control of how you use and customize it.
