Description:

RAG SYSTEMS, COMPRESSION AND AGENTIC ENGINEERING

📅 17 August 2026

🕡 18:45–21:00

🎤 3 speakers. 3 perspectives. One evening of practical engineering.

AI can generate code, but building systems that actually work in production is a much bigger challenge.

This edition of Build It Club goes beyond the AI hype and into the engineering behind modern software systems.

Paweł Piwosz takes us on The Fellowship of the Stack, sharing how he built an AI-powered Digital Sovereignty Assessment platform and what he learned navigating RAG, pgvector, prompting, fine-tuning, Docker, MCP, caching, Go, React, and finally production.

Jarek Duda takes us into the world of Asymmetric Numeral Systems (ANS) and modern compression, making entropy coding accessible through practical examples and showing why compression matters for AI and infrastructure, from storage and network bandwidth to RAG pipelines, model serving, latency, and GPU workloads.

Robel asks what happens when AI can already write the code. In Agentic Coding Is Not Enough: Why Alignment Is the New Bottleneck, he'll share lessons from using Autodesk's internal Kiln platform and explore how engineering teams can integrate agents into the SDLC without losing alignment between people, decisions, and systems.

Expect practical engineering, live ideas, technical depth, discussions, and plenty of time to meet other builders.

Whether you're a software engineer, ML engineer, DevOps or cloud engineer, student, or simply curious about where software engineering is heading, you're welcome.

Come for the talks. Stay for the conversations. Keep building. 🚀
