Description:
About the talk
React is a powerful library for building user interfaces and components. However, to create a good React app not only requires knowledge of syntax and components, but also workflows, data management, and even APIs of other apps. In this talk, we will walk through the whole process by building a Twitter activity tracker with React.
This talk will cover
Explanations and live coding examples of:
- Twitter’s API and how to use it
- Basics of React components, workflows, and routes
- Styling a React app with styled-components
- Storing data into a database (using FaunaDB)
About the speaker
Shadid is a Developer Advocate at Fauna. He is on a mission to help developers build the next generation of apps with serverless and Jamstack tech. He often shares helpful content through writing and videos in order to realize that goal.
