Rust Wrocław Meetup #31
- 18:00 – Introduction
- 18:10 – Adam Tulejko – Glommio - alternative async runtime
Tokio became de facto a standard async runtime for Rust. There are more or less popular alternatives. One niche runtime is Glommio. It tries to apply some design decisions Tokio rejected (e.g. thread-per-core), novelties from Linux kernel (io_uring) and better support for modern storage. In this presentation I will tell about background of Glommio's design decisions, advantages and disadvantages, maturity and potential use cases.
