Vanilla JS fundamentals

React, Angular, Vue, Svelte, Preact, Ember or maybe... jQuery? Choosing one for your project is a difficult task and you can get easily lost in the web (pun intended) of all those JavaScript frameworks/libraries. But there is one that stands out as the most lightweight and lowest-overhead - Vanilla JS (http://vanilla-js.com/). Yeah, actually this is not a framework but just a fancy name for writing applications without using one.

During the presentation, we will:

- show how to operate on html elements, handle styling and user interaction

- explain how to work with HTTP calls to server API

- discuss advantages and disadvantages of choosing Vanilla JS over a framework
