Write more reliable tests with accessibility-driven testing
Ever write a test that still passed, despite the feature being obviously broken from a user perspective? Or what about when a test fails, despite the feature working perfectly? What happens in these cases? Well, you might just stop running and writing tests. Or if you do run them, you won't believe them. You'll still rely on thorough manual testing before every release, and worse - you might start ignoring failures, deploying anyway. At that point, your tests are useless. Fortunately, it doesn't have to be that way. There are tools and strategies to help ensure that tests fail always and only when: something is actually broken, or the requirements have changed. And accessibility-driven testing is by far the most successful strategy I've used for writing tests I can trust.
