Senior Service Delivery Engineer
GetThere is the industry’s most relied upon online travel and collaboration management solution. Through GetThere travelers can efficiently search and book air, car, hotel and rail content within the corporation’s policy and preferred suppliers. GetThere platform processes 12 million transactions annually and serves 11 million active users. It offers modern interfaces, fast response times and innovative features that works beautifully on desktops, tablets, and smartphones.
GetThere operations has a global footprint with colleagues based in Montevideo, Krakow, and Dallas to support customers.
A Sr Service Delivery Engineer develops and delivers detailed technology solutions through consulting project activities.
Responsibilities include client identification through final invoicing for engagements requiring varied interpersonal and technical skills. Technical responsibilities include problem identification, system architecture definition, hardware/software specification and/or design, implementation, testing, client training, and solution deployment.
May participate in sales and proposal presentations in addition to completing ongoing team account activities. Identifies additional product/services opportunities in customer organization.
Job Requirements
• Linux (shell scripting)
• Java or Python programming (backend)
• Understanding of Networking concepts (Routing, Traffic access lists, DNS, SSL)
• Broad understanding of Google Cloud ecosystem and hands-on experiences with its core services.
• Experience (hands on) with integration technologies such as Single Sign-On, OAuth tokens, SFTP and APIs (REST/SOAP).
• Understanding of web application servers.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills required for customer demos.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Deployment Automation tools (Jenkins, TerraForm)
• Version control systems (git)
• Frontend development (JavaScript)
• Broad knowledge of the business and functional area (Corporate systems and Corporate Travel)
