We’re looking for Devops Database Engineer for MS SQL Database products and Scrum expertise to:

• Engage in and improve whole lifecycle of Database Services MS SQL products & tools for the infrastructure services in Azure and on-premises. This includes inception, design, curation and engineering through development, deployment and refinement.
• facilitate the agile events within a pod, removing obstacles and improving teamwork in the database product team
• grow pod effectiveness through agile practices (daily stand-ups, iteration planning, backlog, retrospective etc.) and coaching
• apply a broad range of engineering practices, from analyzing requirements and developing new features to automated testing, deployment, and operations
• ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements
• learn new technologies and practices, reuse strategic platforms and standards, evaluate options, and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind
• work in Agile model with Scrum method and SRE Principles to deliver reliable and efficient platforms

Your team:

In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. You’ll be working in the Hosting Services – global crew. This role is located in Wrocław, Poland focusing on managed database offerings comprised of: product engineering, curation and deployments for Databases MS SQL products & tools at on-premises and in Azure. Our products are consumed by Business aligned Technology and App-Dev teams across business divisions, globally.

Your expertise:

• bachelor or master’s degree or equivalent focusing on Engineering, development, curation and deployment for Databases MS SQL products & tools
• experience as Devops Database Engineer focused on Database technology. Proficiency on underlying infrastructure and Operating Systems.
• good understanding of the Scrum methodologies & tools such as GitLab. Ideally worked as a Scrum Master in Agile, Product team before
• strong communicator, from making presentations to technical writing
• good at problem statement analysis and solution design thinking
• Having good experience and exposure on Database / Infrastructure resiliency, backup and DR Designs
• confident communicator that can explain technology to non-technical audiences
