BI SQL Developer

We are looking for an experienced BI Developer, who will design and develop the multi-dimensional data warehouse, ETL and reporting processes to support the business in its needs to provide regulatory, financial and operational data. Going forward we are looking at using Kafka for event-driven stream processing of the data with the intention to move later to cloud-based data warehousing and adoption of lambda architecture.  We will also be looking at different BI tools to ensure that we are getting the best value from the data available to us. Responsibilities:

• working with data warehouse lead to update existing/implement new features to the multi-dimensional data warehouse and ETL processes ultimately expanding the functionality of the data warehouse
• developing ad-hoc/recurring reports, automated feeds, troubleshooting data issues, validating result sets and analyzing data
• supporting warehouse databases and ETL processes in development, Pre-Prod Staging and Live environments
• gathering and delivering data for use in ad-hoc data analysis
• creating web-based reports (using SQL Server Reporting Services) and database objects to support them
• ensuring continued operation of the intraday data feed and nightly ETL processes
• building and optimizing SQL Queries and Transact SQL stored procedures
• collaborating with the development team on logical models and physical database schema

 

• an at least 3-year experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 -  T-SQL / SSIS / SSRS
• familiarity with .NET development
• relevant experience in the financial services industry
• experience working in an agile environment using Scrum methodology
• being results-oriented, team player with strong attention to details

  Nice to have:

• experience with SSAS and Tableau
• experience in working and optimizing big databases (over 500 millions of rows and terabytes of data)
• practice in the development of real-time data ingestion and stream-analytic solutions leveraging technologies such as Kafka, Spark, HBase and Hadoop
