- Have at least 3 years hands on experience working with Cisco LAN/WAN network infrastructure
- Are experienced in designing and maintaining large scale networks and network security
- Are demonstrable experience working with vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus in a production environment
- Are experience in managing Checkpoint Secure Client VPN or equivalent enterprise VPN
- Have hands-on experience within data-centre environments
- Are experience in managing relationships with 3rd party service providers
- Have CCNA/CCNP certified
- Have experience with AWS security aspects
- Understand fundamental technologies, such as: DNS, DHCP, Load Balancing, SSL, TCP/IP
- Have hands on experience with enterprise monitoring solutions
- Have Master’s degree in IT related areas

- Data-centre network infrastructure including LAN/WAN components such as switches, routers firewalls and MPLS services
- Capacity management of data-centre local and wide area bandwidth, reporting on utilisation and growth of demand
- Oversight of firewall change requests originating from Technical Services
- IP and DNS service management (public and private ranges)
- Site to site and client VPN services management and operation (through 3rd party)
- Management of Cisco network device configurations to ensure continued and smooth operation of production services
- Documenting network topologies and configurations as well as standard operating procedures and contributing to policy formulation
- IP range management across a large estate of IP enabled devices
- Acting as a subject matter expert for connectivity and security aspects in relation to public and private cloud based hosting solutions
- Availability to support the resolution of operational incidents outside of normal working hours
- Understanding and comply with key policies and processes, including Change Management, Problem Management, Major Incident Management and Information Security Management
