The Principal Product Manager for Sabre APIs in the API Enablement team will play a vital role in advancing Sabre’s API First methodologies and adoption. They will be a pragmatic visionary that can translate business needs into technology solutions that scale technically and operationally. They will be responsible to shape and execute the Sabre API First strategy to optimize our impact from moving towards being an API-First company – focusing especially on definition and internal adoption of Sabre best practice, measuring external value creation from this and advancing our maturity with API analytics and API onboarding process. This role is responsible for bringing quality and enabling technical innovation, handling evolving / complex demands, including multiple projects with dependencies on other internal organizations.
Job Description:
Shapes and executes vision of Sabre API First strategy
Evangelizes and brings to life the strategy, setting the direction on initiatives and measuring their performance
Acts as the subject matter expert on a consulting basis
Cooperates with Technical Sales, Product & Technology and Data & Analytics teams on identifying usage patterns, gathering, tracking, and translating customer feedback appropriately for product, marketing, sales and technology team decision making
Challenges existing API processes to transition Sabre into an API-First company
Dives deeper into technical aspects of APIs
Job Requirements:
Possess solid product management experience. Ideally around API offerings.
Comfortable talking about APIs as products. In pursuit with learning, measuring, reporting on how various customers use our APIs.
Analytical-minded, and technically savvy.
Experienced dealing in metrics and measurements. Can draw actionable insights from a time series to recommend growth.
Understands SAAS-like metrics: user acquisition, measuring time until first core use of a product, lifetime engagement, user churn, and how these relate to APIs.
Successful working with cross-functional teams including Finance, Billing, Sales, Support, and Technology to drive decisions, remove blockers, and deliver strategic business outcomes.
Be responsible for monitoring the overall effectiveness of API-First mindset across the organization and decide methods for increasing its success with big impact.
Researching and proposing effective ways to bill customers using APIs.
