PRESENTATION DESCRIPTIONS
Adaptive Control in Equinix Data Center - Alessandro Seganti
Abstract:
In this presentation, I will showcase how Online Machine Learning methods, including factual reasoning and multi-armed bandit approaches, can be leveraged to improve the energy efficiency of HVAC systems (CRAH/CRAC) within data centers. I will discuss the integral role of these cooling systems, their characteristics, and the control parameters and objectives that such algorithms should target. By illustrating the application of this approach in a real data center pilot project, I will demonstrate how energy efficiency at the data center improved through this innovative solution. Attendees will gain insights into the application of Online Machine Learning methods in industrial settings and the main challenges encountered in the process.
From Words to Wisdom: The Evolution and Future of Large Language Models - Krzysztof Popiołek
Abstract:
Join me on a captivating through the evolution of Large Language Models (LLMs) from their humble beginnings to their current state-of-the-art capabilities. I will navigate the twists and turns of LLMs' journey into the spotlight, highlighting recent advancements and trends in training these models. Whether you're a seasoned practitioner or just starting your journey in machine learning, this presentation promises to enhance your understanding of how AI hype has transformed into an everyday reality for all.
AI agents applications - Paweł Ekk-Cierniakowski
Abstract:
Based on the tourist information chatbot which answers the questions based on several data sources such as pdfs brochures, database and weather API, I will present how to use AI agents to build LLM-powered applications. During the theoretical part, I will introduce concepts of chains, tools and agents. At the end of the presentation, I will also describe how the AI applications can be monitored and improved.
