AWS Meetup 11/24 - AWS User Group Warsaw [EN]

- Intro
- Piotr Florczyk - "Serverless and AI - Can this be the new technological love story?" - In modern data-driven applications, managing and orchestrating complex workflows is crucial for ensuring efficient data pipelines. Step Functions, a serverless orchestration service, offer a powerful way to design and manage data pipelines by enabling coordination between various AWS services. This presentation explores how Step Functions can be used as an orchestrator to automate, manage, and monitor multi-step data processes . We will discuss the benefits of using Step Functions for error handling, parallel execution, and scaling, highlighting its role in building robust, scalable, and cost-effective data pipelines. Real-world examples and best practices will also be covered to demonstrate its versatility and ease of integration within AWS ecosystems.
- Krzysztof Słowiński - "Automate data governance in AWS" - Data analytics platforms are shifting towards delivering data products that have well-defined standards so that consumers know what to expect when using them. On the enterprise level, the governance aspect is crucial, especially if data is classified as confidential or restricted. When adding the public cloud component to the mix, it becomes vital to get it right, considering that the security of the cloud systems is usually a great concern. The goal is to automate the governance process, where we can go from auto-discovery of the data classification to granular governance management. Let’s explore the options we have available in AWS with a few examples!
