The presentation aims to address the subject of containerization in the context of IT security. A short overview of Docker's native security mechanisms and proposals how to increase the level of security in IT environments based on Docker containers.

In addition, some examples will be presented, related to security level checks of such environments.

We would like to mention technical issues and different challenges in the design and lifetime process of distributed systems based on microservices architecture. During discussion of the design methods, implementation or monitoring microservices, we will also mention the possible impact of such approach on other divisions in the organization unrelated to IT.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is a public cloud platform from Oracle that features with core infrastructure-as-a-service capabilities such as compute, storage, networking, and IAM as well as a set of platform-as-a-service capabilities including autonomous database, managed Kubernetes engine and various Cloud Native services. The goal of this two-part presentation is to familiarize the audience with the basic concepts of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Terraform-driven automation, Oracle Kubernetes Engine, and Cloud Native services.


Doors open at 18:30, talks start at 19:00. There may be plenty of people to discuss Cloud and Kubernetes related questions with!
