Natural Language Processing: why it’s hard and why it’s worth it Abstract: This talk will give an introduction to Natural Language Processing focusing on problems we face to make Google into a more conversational system. It will also talk in general about obstacles that make NLP still not a fully solved problem, and what kind of approaches succeed in (partially) solving it. Speaker bio: After finishing PhD studies on the Jagiellionan University, Mikołaj Zalewski went to work on resource management at Google. Currently he works in the Google Zurich office on natural language generation. After Mikołaj's talk, Lindsay from the University Programs team will talk briefly about opportunities at Google for students and, of course, there will be pizza and Google goodies – be sure to register below so we know how much to bring!
