Tobiasz Heller: Webauthn

In this talk, I will discuss how to add the authentication part into your system using industry-standard Webauthn. I will explain, what replaces U2F and why One-Time-Passwords are the next target of phishing. Finally, I will do live coding of a simple Go app using Webauthn primitives.

Sebastian Ławniczak: Ethereum

Ethereum is continually a hot topic. Unfortunately, most people only recall the name when it comes to investment opportunities or multi million hacks.

In this talk, we are going to take a look from different angle - how Ethereum and its Go implementation is built, what challenges it tries to solve and how one can interact with it using Go.

Speaker

Tobiasz - I have started my career building hardware-in-the-loop systems. Later I have switched to web development and Go. I like clean code, designing systems that works and simple solutions.

Sebastian - Sebastian is a Software Engineer at Monerium - an Icelandic financial start-up bringing regulated fiat currencies to the blockchain.

He likes minimalist software and recently cares more and more about privacy and decentralisation.

Go Developers Network

We are a part of GDN, which is a collection of Go user groups working together with a shared mission to empower developer communities with the knowledge, experience, and wisdom to build the next generation of software in Go.

Description:

Next GoWroc meetup will be on 19th of January, again in the beautiful Pawaful’s office. We will have soft drinks, beer and pizza during the break. After the event we usually go to pub (the office is close to "nasyp").
