Description:

Most people in the startup community perceive entrepreneurship as a good thing. At the same time we understand that being an entrepreneur for many people is, at least to some extent, about pursuing wealth. Why is it then that many successful founders find themselves being resented or vilified by the society?

Wealthy entrepreneurs now feel the need to focus more and more of their energy and resources on philanthropy. Similarly, large tech companies put a lot of emphasis on their Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. And all this is happening against the backdrop of ethical scandals affecting Silicon Valley companies - from Github and Theranos to Uber and Zenefits, etc.

So how should we think about these trends? Are there any consistent principles we can use to accurately judge them? We’ve invited Dr Yaron Brook to offer his perspective on this topic.

Dr Book will give a talk titled “The Moral Case for Entrepreneurship and Inequality” and then we’ll have an extensive Q&A on these topics.

Join us for an evening full of sharing new ideas and networking!

Please RSVP first so we can make sure we don't run out of space at the venue.
