Description:
Developers Shore are announcing a webinar — “What Should Be Retired from the Java Language” with Ken Fogel.
We are all familiar with deprecated components of Java. With Java evolving rapidly and on a regular basis we find new features and syntax that are alternatives to how we may have coded Java previously. A perfect example is the ‘var’ keyword. We do not have to use it, but we should. In this presentation I want to talk about some of the changes that have occurred in Java since version 8. These are the changes that should affect how we code in Java and how we teach Java. Join me as we talk about new features of Java that should be sending older features to the coding retirement home. Bring your suggestions, too.
