Bitcoin and the Theory of Money - Open Lecture in Polish + beers after

We're pleased to invite you to the seventh open lecture organized by KNASE, KASE Kraków and Students for Liberty! This lecture will be in Polish but after the lecture, attendants most of who will English-speaking are headed to Stacja Bosacka bar & restaurant for a continuation of the meeting, in a more relaxed location.

Bitcoin is once again top of mind around the world. Last year, the European Union adopted the MiCA regulation regulating crypto assets, in the US spot ETFs were accepted by the SEC and in Poland the Polish Financial Supervision Authority announced that it will start supervising cryptocurrency markets later this year. With the growing adoption of bitcoin, it's worth taking a look at its economic underpinnings from the perspective of theory of money.

Błażej Szkudlarek is a graduate of economics and a student of economic analytics at the CUE, president of the Club of the Austrian School of Economics in Krakow and local coordinator of Students for Liberty.

The meeting will take place on Thursday, January 25 at 6:30 p.m. in the Old Auditorium in the Main Building.
